Boar's Head Lounge

While primarily known as a college bar, Boar's Head features a dedicated performance space that hosts live bands several nights a week. The upstairs venue has been a launching pad for local talent since the 1980s, with a focus on rock, alternative, and jam bands. The no-frills stage with basic sound equipment provides an authentic experience reminiscent of Athens' early music scene. The venue's connection to UGA's student population helps introduce new generations to Athens' live music tradition in an accessible, affordable setting.
