Pylon

Influential post-punk band formed in 1979 by UGA art students. Pylon created a unique sound with danceable rhythms and raw energy that influenced countless bands, including R.E.M., whose drummer once claimed Pylon was "America's best rock 'n' roll band." Though short-lived, their legacy in Athens music is immense.
