Widespread Panic

Jam band formed in Athens in 1986, with their first show at the Mad Hatter Ballroom. Known for their improvisational style blending rock, blues and Southern rock, they gained national recognition in the 1990s. In 1998, they staged a legendary free concert in downtown Athens that drew a crowd estimated at 100,000 people.
